Social Support Specialist

Join our team and make a difference with your social service skills. We are currently seeking a full-time, hybrid/onsite team member for our Winnetka, IL team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Answer phone calls, chats, and emails from Hadley’s audience.
  • Engage with Hadley’s audience with a warm, welcoming, and empathic tone to understand how we can best meet their needs.
  • Possess an in-depth, comprehensive understanding of Hadley’s offerings to be able to guide conversations.
  • Understand the social and emotional impact of vision loss to better understand and relate to Hadley’s audience.
  • Log and document all interactions.

Job requirements include ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team, strong communication and listening skills, strong writing skills, a continuous improvement mindset, strong organization and problem-solving skills and commitment to Hadley’s mission and values. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Zoom and Microsoft Teams preferred. College degree required, masters preferred. College degree in social work, psychology or related field.
