She Chose Not to Stop. Now She's an Award-Winning Author.

Growing up in a small Midwestern town, Mary’s love of reading sustained her through struggles with a learning disability. And today, macular degeneration hasn’t stopped her from becoming an award-winning children’s book author.

“The biggest thing I wanted to hear was how to cope.”

Jack first experienced challenges with his eyesight more than 50 years ago. As he continues to lose more of his sight, Jack has found strength and support from a community that understands his journey while helping others learn how to cope with the challenges they face.
