Sheri's passion has always been horses. She earned her BA in equine management and worked for many years on thoroughbred and standardbred horse farms in Kentucky.

Rader has since worked her way through more than 140 Hadley workshops and tutorials.

"For me, the world during the pandemic is not so dark anymore, emotionally and otherwise," said Thompson.

"I've gotten back to emails and on the internet and have reconnected with those I lost touch with, the technology help has been life-changing during the pandemic."

“What's key for me is that there's hope there. You have to have hope that you can still do what you want in life."

Today, Mitchell conducts her own a Zoom cooking class, teaching others with vision loss what she learned in her own kitchen in what she describes as "descriptive cooking."

Rabbi Lenny Sarko of Congregation Emanu-El Israel in Greensburg lost some of his vision for a time due to diabetes. That motivated him to create a Braille Sefer Torah.

Zavoda’s passion for working with those with vision loss began 25 years ago.

Daryl was among a core group of low vision individuals that Hadley relied upon for feedback and suggestions during the important phases of the design and implementation of the new Hadley.edu.

Anita Kelly, 60, of Upstate New York considers herself a lifelong problem-solver, honing her skills the last 30 years managing details, plans, and schedules as an executive assistant for multiple CEOs in the international banking industry.
