Hello, my name is Ricky Enger, and today we're going to talk about the process of joining a Zoom meeting. Zoom is everywhere, and it's not just something that's used for work meetings, although that is one place where it's really popular. It's also being used to bring friends together for coffee and conversation, it's a tool that we use here at Hadley for our discussion groups, and it's even used for family gatherings when everyone can't be physically in the same room together.
What's really cool about it is that there are lots of different ways to join, and you can choose the one that feels most comfortable to you. But before you can join a Zoom meeting, you're going to get an invitation that has all the details you need. So let's check out a typical Zoom invitation and talk about what's in it and then what to do with that information.
Okay, so usually we get our Zoom invitations by email, like the one we've got open here.
Ed: Now that you've had a chance to learn a bit with us, we'd like to learn more about you, your name, email address, how you heard about Hadley, and your relationship to vision loss. Learning more will give us a better understanding of how to personalize Hadley just for you. And don't worry, everything you share with us online will be kept safe and secure. Of course, if you'd prefer to talk through these questions, we're just a phone call away at 800-323-4238.
Taking these few steps saves your preferences so you can continue right where you left off and track your progress every time you log on. Plus it connects you to the Hadley community, and helps sustain our funding to keep Hadley free of charge. And last but not least, it gives you direct access to experts, like me. Now, where were we?
