When you want help with a technology, product, or service, reaching a real person is often difficult. Luckily, several popular services provide direct phone lines where people with vision loss can get real support from a person.
Amazon: 888-283-1678, then follow the prompts to press 1 or 2
Once you call Amazon Accessible Support:
- Press 1 to connect with a specialist for questions about your orders, account, payments, and so on.
- Press 2 for support with Amazon digital services and devices, including Alexa.

Apple, including iPhone help: 877-204-3930
Apple Accessibility Support provides help for all Apple devices that have accessibility settings—such as iPhones and iPads, laptop and desktop computers, the Apple watch, and more.

Google Disability Support provides help with the accessibility options for Android phones, along with support for other Google products and apps, such as Chromebooks and Google Docs.

The Microsoft Disability Answer Desk provides help to all customers with disabilities, including help for features such as magnifiers, speech recognition commands, and screen readers.

The APH ConnectCenter offers free information and referrals to a wealth of resources and services related to blindness and low vision.

Be My Eyes app
Available on Apple or Android devices, the Be My Eyes app offers a service directory with many customer service numbers for real-time help. The list goes from AARP to Zoom and includes major businesses, consumer companies, government offices, blindness organizations, and much more. To use it:
- Download and open the Be My Eyes app.
- Tap “Service Directory” in the tab bar.
- Select a company or organization, and the app dials the number directly.
For many organizations, you can also call the main business line or help line and ask for the Accessibility department.
Be My Eyes is always available. Phone availability for customer service numbers varies by organization.
