iPhone/iPad Low Vision: Turning on Dark Mode

Hello, my name is Douglas Walker. Today, we will check out Dark Mode. Now, Dark Mode is super useful, especially if we have issues with glare or really bright screens. Yet, our Dark Mode feature is so nice because it inverts or reverses the colors of our background and text, which is beyond great.

Now, we're using our iPad in today's workshop. However, all of this will work pretty much the same, whether we're using our iPad, our iPhone, or even our iPod Touch. All right, let's jump right in and check out how to turn on Dark Mode.

Now, to turn on Dark Mode, we will need to head to our settings app. And our settings app is right here on our home screen. So, we will just touch our settings app. Great, our settings have opened and we have been given two lists. Now, our Dark Mode feature is actually part of our display and brightness settings, and our display in brightness is here in our left list. And uh, there it is. So, we'll just tap it to open it up.

Great, our display and brightness button is now highlighted. And we notice that all of our display and brightness settings have opened here in our right list. Okay, right here at the top of our screen, we find our light and Dark Mode buttons. And this is super easy because all we have to do to turn on our Dark Mode is simply just touch it. So we'll just touch our Dark Mode button.

You know, we can already see what a huge difference Dark Mode makes right here in our settings. Yeah, no more glare. All right. That pretty much covers how to turn on Dark Mode.

I tell ya, it's pretty easy to see how our Dark Mode feature can really help to reduce our eye strain, especially if you're like me and have big issues with glare. Again, my name is Douglas Walker. Take care, and I'll see you next time.
