Ricky: Hello, my name is Ricky Enger, and today we'll learn about navigating with Narrator views. Okay most of that sentence may not even make sense right now but it will by the end of this workshop. Narrator is really powerful, and it actually has two methods of navigating around and reading what's on the screen. There's Narrator views which we'll talk about today, and there's also scan mode. Scan mode has its own lovely little workshop that you can check out as well.
For now though what in the world are Narrator views and how do we navigate with them? To answer that we first need to talk about a key on our keyboard that's kind of lonely because we don't use it that often. It's the caps lock key, but while we're using Narrator this key gets a cool new function. We call it the Narrator key.
Ed: Now that you've had a chance to learn a bit with us, we'd like to learn more about you; your name, email address, how you heard about Hadley, and your relationship to vision loss. Learning more will give us a better understanding of how to personalize Hadley just for you. Don't worry, everything you share with us online will be kept safe and secure. Of course if you prefer to talk through these questions, we're just a phone call away at 800-323-4238.
Taking these few steps saves your preferences so you can continue right where you left off and track your progress every time you log on. Plus it connects you to the Hadley community and helps sustain our funding to keep Hadley free of charge. Last but not least, it gives you direct access to experts like me. Now, where were we?
